Qualifications
  • The Media Coordinator must be a mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in their faith. They must be fully in accord with Carolina Creek’s mission statement, and statement of beliefs; committed to living these out personally, and instilling them in the organization. They must be of strong moral character and integrity.
Video Production
  • Plan, strategize, and execute video projects, including promotional, event, and storytelling content.
  • Oversee video shoots, including pre-production planning, filming, and post-production editing.
  • Manage video brand standards to ensure consistent quality and messaging.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for video production.
Photography
  • Provide photo coverage for events and key moments throughout the year.
  • Develop and manage photo shot lists in collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
  • Organize and maintain the photo archive to ensure easy access and retrieval.
  • Ensure consistency in visual style across all photo assets.
Gear & Equipment Management
  • Oversee storage, maintenance, and upkeep of all media and production gear.
  • Coordinate gear upgrades and conduct annual equipment audits.
  • Manage media equipment rentals as needed.
Digital Asset Management
  • Organize and maintain a comprehensive archive of photo and video assets.
  • Manage the public-facing photo gallery and facilitate media sharing with stakeholders.
  • Develop and refine shot lists for events and campaigns.
Seasonal Staff & Intern Support
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and supporting seasonal staff and interns.
  • Prepare and update training documentation to ensure new team members are well-equipped.
  • Provide ongoing resources and mentorship to team members throughout their roles.
Event-Specific Media Support (e.g., Lone Star Lights)
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and curate media content for key events.
  • Manage live social media coverage and storytelling through various platforms.
  • Design and oversee photo ops and media elements that enhance guest experiences.
  • Lead the technical support and coordination of media coverage teams during events.
Other Responsibilities
  • Supervise and develop photo and video interns, ensuring they grow professionally and creatively.
  • Attend relevant team meetings to align with broader organizational goals.
  • Serve as a creative problem-solver to enhance storytelling and brand alignment.
  • Articulate the mission, values, and faith elements of Carolina Creek from a personal perspective..
  • Provide godly counsel and encouragement, and pray with guests and staff as situations call for.
  • Attend and participate in all required staff meetings, Bible studies, worship services, and events.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the broader camp programs of Carolina Creek
  • Actively engage and participate in the staff community through a godly attitude, words, and actions

  • Will supervise part-time staff, seasonal staff, interns, and contractors as needed to accomplish the objectives of the position.
Work Experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in media production, including video shooting, editing, and photography.
  • Experience managing media equipment, digital assets, and archives.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality visual content aligned with brand standards.
  • Previous experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience supervising interns or seasonal staff is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proven experience in photo and video production, including shooting and editing.
  • Strong understanding of media gear, including cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools for video and photo editing.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to train and mentor interns or seasonal staff effectively.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content strategies is a plus.
  • Able to lead a small group Bible study, facilitate prayer with staff or guests, and provide reasonable counseling/coaching from a Biblical perspective.
Physical Demands
  • The physical environment requires the employee to work long hours both inside and outside in hot and humid conditions, sometimes walking long distances over steep or uneven terrain.
  • Must be able to safely lift, move, and maneuver media equipment as needed.
  • The job duties require sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, the ability to lift/carry from 15 to over 60 lbs., climbing stairs and ladders, and working at heights.
  • Must have the ability to drive a car, truck, van, box truck, ATV, or other vehicle, and to pull a trailer.
  • Must have good sight and hearing to ensure safety in hazardous conditions and emergencies.
  • Must have the ability to be heard when speaking or shouting at distances, directing other staff, responding to emergencies, or leading in large group situations.
  • Must be able to communicate in English, both written and oral, to interview and edit the verbal communication of content providers.
  • Ideally, the Media Coordinator will be able to participate in adventure activities, (i.e. able to work in a harness at heights, boating (i.e. be able to operate a camera while sitting or standing in a moving boat), and other camp activities including but not limited to hiking, zip lining, blobbing, and working in large crowds in order to secure the media content needed to accomplish the objectives.

  • This position requires occasional evening and weekend work, especially during key events.

  • Satisfactory completion of a background investigation, as well as the ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
